Nur Gıda

Founded in 2001 by Nimet Tarandır, Nur Gıda is the group's parent company and brings Türkiye's leading food brands to the Iraqi market.

Rooted in the border trade that began in 1991, Nur Gıda started official exports in 2001 when the embargo on Iraq was lifted. Today it serves as the Iraq distributor for long-established Turkish manufacturers across a broad product range, led by biscuits, chocolate, cakes and wafers.

With roughly 20,000 m² of company-owned covered space and a fleet of 300 vans in Zakho, Erbil, Mosul, Sulaymaniyah, Basra, Duhok, Karbala and Baghdad, it runs both van sales and pre-sales. Through these partnerships, more than 30,000 tons of products have been distributed across the region.

Ecrin Gıda's Nimet Bey and Seven branded Turkish delight, jam, hazelnut spread, tahini and molasses, along with Nurlog's Yuppy and Peyda cleaning products, also reach the Iraqi market through the same network.

Based on its 2021 export figures, Nur Gıda ranked 315th in Türkiye's Top 500 Exporters list and 27th in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.
